Tower Bridge on the River Thames in London

We have heard that London is the New York of Europe. After seeing the two cities, in some respects such comments can be considered correct, but in others, we would say that New York is the London of the americas. Either way, we saw a lot in common between the two cities.

There are many cultural events very high level. Many theaters presenting the works of Broadway or the like. The museums are many and their exhibits are wonderful. We visited the British Museum and we recommend it; exhibition of Egypt and Mesopotamia are incredible. He also went to other museums very interesting. Actually, those interested in history all you have to do is walk through the streets of London and keep our eyes open. Of course, some places are amazing and will require full attention and possibly more than one visit, as The Tower of London, Westminster Abbey, St Paul's Cathedral, and many more.

England, and especially London, is a very popular tourist destination. Winter may not be the best time of year to enjoy as it requires much walking on sidewalks and parks to see it all and during this season can be very cold temperatures. In spring and summer many tourists from around the world who visit and all activities are filled lot, and the cost of air travel and hotels are more expensive. Autumn is the best season to visit according to employees of the hotel where we are staying. That does not mean that there are no tourists in the autumn. The hotel was full and in all places that we had other tourists.

As New York, London is great with a vast variety of sights and activities for local audiences as well as for the visitor. We fail to enjoy even half the things that we put on a list that did hurry, and we are confident that this list is neither half of the things they should be. Well, the good part is that only in the return trip we were already making plans for an upcoming trip to London.

The Thames in London is a major attraction in itself. Bridges, its banks, boat rides and night life are just some of the attractions related to this famous river. At all times there are people from Piccadilly Circus to Leicester Park, continuing action at Trafalgar Square and Covent Garden. Shopping is another great experience but we must be careful not to exceed the limits of the office (of laps at the airport).

Most of the relocation within the city we did using the subway (there called "underground" or "tube"). There were times we were out past midnight, which is when the last subway train, then take taxis to go back to the hotel, although we might have used the buses. During the hours that operates the underground never had need to use another type of transportation, except of course, walking.
